The restaurant at Ghan House received their 1st AA Rosette award and are winners 2 years running 'Best hotel Restaurant in County Louth' in 2011 and 2010 by the Restaurant Association of Ireland.

We make our own breads, stocks & sauces and ice creams. We have a herb garden, vegetable garden and naturally use the best of what we have around us ~ crab, mussels, oysters and lobster from Lough in front of us and the lamb & beef;

Some examples taken from a recent menu;

Twice baked crab soufflé with chilli, garlic & coriander pesto & a cucumber salad

Slow cooked rib of Cooley lamb

with a citrus & herb glaze, crisp fried sweet breads, carrot puree, baby turnips & jus

Pear & fennel crème brulée

In addition, for special occasions, private dining is available - your own room for the whole evening with log fire.

Booking for the restaurant is recommended.

Restaurant open 7 days;

5.30pm to 9pm Sunday to Thursday & to 9.30pm Friday & Saturday

1pm to 3pm Sunday Lunch.

6 course tasting menu at €27.50 Monday to Thursday

A la Carte 7 days.
